001. video/action for new bark town
( VIDEO; )
[ Before the video starts recording, the network is flooded by a dozen or so photographs, all of them taken in the area in and immediately outside of New Bark Town. When the video finally comes on, a girl who doesn't look a day older than twelve (spoilers: she's 21, not that you'd be able to tell that just from looking at her) is sitting in a tree with her back against the trunk. There's an Emolga lying draped across her lap, and she's idly scratching it behind the ears as she looks into the camera. ]
Sheesh, the camera function on this thing isn't good enough... The resolution is too low and the shots get grainy when I zoom in.
[ She shakes her head, a hint of disappointment showing on her face. ]
But it'll do in a pinch until I can get something better. Speaking of which, where can you buy decent cameras around these parts? I prefer digital ones, but I don't mind using classics like Instax or Polaroid as long as the film isn't too hard to come by.
[ Well, it seems like somebody here has her priorities exactly in order. From the looks of it, she seems more bothered about not having a decent camera on her person than the whole interdimensional kidnapping thing. She pauses briefly to wait for the Emolga to climb up onto her shoulder and settle itself there, before she continues. ]
Anyway, I've got another question. It seems like I've got two choices here - the ferry heading east, or the forest route to the west leading to... Cherryville? I don't know, I haven't memorized the names on the map yet. Which did you choose? I haven't made up my mind yet, and I'd like to know more so I can pick the more interesting option.
( ACTION; )
[ Anyone in New Bark may run into the tiny girl wandering about with her Emolga hovering in the air just a few feet away. Once in a while she stops to use her Gear to take a picture of whatever captured her interest at that moment; you can find her snapping pictures of the water by the docks, or she's crouching down to take a picture of some stones she found on the ground, or maybe she's even taking pictures of any fellow new arrival who happens to be nearby. ]

You know, I was just wondering recently if you would arrive here soon - and here you are! Like you were summoned out of the aether, really, it's wonderful.
It's good of you to join me, Hori, had it taken you any longer I'd start thinking you didn't like me anymore.
[SORRY WERE THERE QUESTIONS HE THINKS THERE MAY HAVE BEEN QUESTIONS BUT WHO CARES]

What are you talking about, Tsukiyama-san? You're acting like you haven't seen me in ages.

Ah, it's a long story - let's say this place doesn't work on any logic we're meant to understand.
I've been here for quite some time, is the point.

[Hope you don't mind being interrupted! The voice comes from a tiny, green-haired girl who is... probably taller than Chie, actually. She's currently wearing a Dratini draped around her shoulders like some kind of really long, living boa, but perhaps even more interesting than that is her absolutely horrible outfit. She sounds curious and her head is tipped slightly to the side as she tries to figure out what the other girl's doing.]

I'm taking photos of stuff. [That said, now that Nowi's got her attention she's going to snap a quick picture of her - hope she doesn't mind.]

[...Well, there was that time with the Goomy in the cave he had to sleep in, but that was a one time thing!]
I can't remember if Cherrygrove sells cameras at their stores though... It's been ages since I've been there, let alone worked there. If anything I think Violet might have them because of the ruins nearby.
video;
[ Historical sites don't really interest her for the most part, but ruins could potentially give her some good photos. :|a ]

Nice photos, by the way...

Is there a reason most people don't take the ferry?

[She knows next to nothing about photography art, okay. She's trying here.
....Another shrug.]
Walking is easier...?

It's not like he's going to be asking anything inappropriate but he's going to cover his ass in advance.]
You... know Tsukiyama-san?
private video;
Fortunately (?) Tsukiyama is a chatterbox so she's heard a few things about the other members. What was that name he mentioned...? ]
...Are you Banjoi-kun?
private video;
How many contacts Taukiyama has, Banjou doesn't know. It hasn't bothered him, though he also had never really thought much about someone showing up he had never met before.]
That's right.

I expected the ferry to be more popular, but it seems like not many people use it.

Hmm... [He ponders on this for a moment.] Well... many are familiar with this part of the region, I believe. I guess a lot don't wish to stray too far from their friends.

Either way, he waits a little while before trying to talk to her.]
I haven't tried taking many photos with the 'Gear myself...but they don't really seem so bad to me.

Like with Banjou, seeing Kaneki makes her look at the video for a long moment - except this time it's not to recall a name, it's because she knows this person and recognizes him but he's different. The hair is the most obvious thing, of course, no longer the white mess she remembers him having... but he's also giving off an entirely different impression. He always treated her kindly, but he exuded a disharmony that seems to have disappeared. ]
Putting a camera in a cell phone always comes with compromises in quality, Kaneki-kun. While you can just whip out your phone and snap a picture anytime, everything from the sensor to the lens to the zoom mechanism to the flash are much better in a regular camera.
[video]
Ah...I see. Well...the pictures you posted seemed well enough for being a low quality camera, at least. It shouldn't be hard to find something better, though. Um...
You're Hori-san, right?

I don't know where you can get good cameras, but I know someone who does. How much of a difference does it make, though?
I'd bet on Goldenrod or Saffron for anything like that, though. Those're the bigger cities.

...um, as long as you have a pass, of course, but those usually aren't too hard to find.
Anyway.
It's a few weeks on foot, but the shops in Goldenrod would probably have some cameras you could buy. I wouldn't know, though. The preservation of minute instances of time is something I never really learned.
