002. text/action for mahogany town

Today, I discovered two things. One is that pizza ice cream exists. I was curious enough to buy some and it tasted like a blend of tomatoes, garlic, oregano and mozzarella. It was a lot better than I expected it to be but I don't think I'll be eating it again. It was weird.

The other is that Golurk can learn Fly. I think I've found my new favourite mode of transport.

Also, I decided to give this breeding thing a go earlier and I have a bunch of eggs for sale. See the attached file for more information.

Well, to be honest I'm not sure how we captured the first few. I joined the team after we had already secured a couple of them. One of our gunmen is very unique. It can combine with others and take control of them. It's thanks to that one that we were able to take control of the battleship. It was a very difficult battle though.

Your world sounds both horrible and really interesting. That battle must've been amazing to watch.

It might have been, but honestly we were just concerned with making sure our gunmen could fight. It was terrifying. I've never experienced anything like that before and I wasn't even involved in the fighting.

[AND THEN THEIR LEADER ATE IT REALLY HARD, IT SUCKED]

So what were you doing, if you weren't fighting?

There are a lot of us that didn't know how to pilot a gunmen. There also weren't enough of them for all of us to fight.

[...Also he's fourteen.]

Our engineer has been teaching me what to look for to make sure our gunmen are fighting efficiently. I was assisting him. Since that battle I've been training and I can pilot gunmen now, though I wouldn't say I'm very good at it.

[Though for some reason they let him pilot one of the main ones. No seriously, who is making the decisions here.]

What's piloting one like? My world doesn't have anything like the gunmen so I have no idea.

It's a bit difficult to explain. I haven't felt anything like it before. Gunmen are piloted by willpower, so as long as you believe you're capable of it, they'll continue to run. Maneuvering is done by controls, which is pretty intuitive, but not everyone is very good at it.
